The sun shines in the north!

Just a quick update - I've edited the last entry as we remembered what we did on Tuesday! We got a reasonably early night last night after packing.Saturday 27th November:The alarm went off at 8.30am and we got up and did the usual morning ritual. It had been nice sleeping in a proper bed for the first time in a week! We got the free shuttle to the airport, checked in and went for a bit of breakfast. Finally boarded about 11.30 and we were soon on our way. The flight only felt like it lasted about 20 minutes - why can't they all be like that?! Once in Wellington (hurrah!) wse picked up our hire car - a very cool red Rav 4! Gorgeous to drive - I was born to drive a car like that! Then it was off to the hotel. We've decided we are staying here for two nights and luckily the hotel has room for us for tomorrow night. Once we had ditched the suitcases and changed we drove into the town. Parked up and walked down Cuba Street to Fidel's for a bit of lunch. Very cool place - lovely food! And now we are off to the Te Papa museum. Bye for now!

Well, you know me - born to shop! We've bought another suitcase between us to bring stuff back in! I have ideas where I'm going to put it all - got a great idea for my room!Yep, think I will need a mortgage for the photos! Oh, talking of photos! Dad - your camera. Not the battery that was the problem - I found that out after spending a small fortune on two of them! It's the camera. The smaller of the lenses doesn't work at all with the camera for some reason! And my APS camera - dead. Thought I lost my digital at Edoras, but it was in the van. Phew! Was nearly sick! I've been saying to Val that I can't wait for you to watch the films so I can annoy you with "been there, met him" commentaries all the way through.
